The Prophet (peace be upon him) said:
"If the value of the world was equal to that of the wing of a mosquito by Allah, He would not have allowed any Kaafir (disbelievers) even a drink of water from it." (Hadith, Bukhari)
This Hadith makes it clear that the world and its wealth and riches has no significance to Allah.It should not have much significance to the believers. It should, on the other hand, be considered a means to reform the Afterlife or a place of trial and tests.
